IKARA LPR is a software module that uses deep learning to detect license plates in pictures and videos. It has been specially trained for difficult conditions such as poor visibility or steep angles. The system provides real-time license plate recognition in up to 4 cameras simultaneously.
A web interface allows you to set up the software and manage whitelists (temporary/permanent) and events (such as bookmarking or triggering a barrier).
How it works
IKARA LPR is software that uses artificial intelligence (deep learning) to recognize license plates on photos and videos. It is specifically designed to work reliably even under difficult conditions such as poor visibility or unfavourable camera angles.
The system can capture license plates in real time with up to four cameras simultaneously. Through a simple web interface, you can set up the software, put specific vehicles on a permit list, and control actions such as opening a barrier.

The installation requires a Linux distribution (e.g. Ubuntu 18.04 or later, Linux Mint 18 or later) with the following installed packages:
- Docker Engine (20.10.x or newer)
- Docker Compose (1.28.0 or newer)
- Nvidia Container Toolkit (1.5.0 or newer)
